Fiber Optic

Today, most copper installations are being enhanced with the use of some fiber optics technology. That is because fiber optic cables allows high bandwidth applications to travel long distances with total immunity to electrical interference.  Fiber optic backbones or links between buildings provide solutions to length limitations and offer other benefits such as speed and bandwidth capabilities.

There are several reasons why fiber optic cables are now being used than that of the traditional copper. Fiber optic cables are made from glass. The glass tubing is coated with plastic on the outside, which transforms the tube into a perfect mirror. With the use of lasers, data can be transmitted through these tubes efficiently by reflecting the lasers on the mirrors. Initially, fiber optic cables may seem costly on installations, you can recover these expenses because they are less expensive to use than copper lines. It can send multiple signals at once thus lowering the cost.

Fiber optics transmits data digitally so there is no more need to translate manually the data being sent to communicate with other modern digital systems. This means a higher quality experience and faster transmission.

Lastly, fiber optics cabling is deemed safe. Due to its make up, it is almost impossible to penetrate or intercept signal that is going through it. This means that your data will be safe and you need not to worry about the security of your data during transmittal. It is definitely going to be safe and intact!
